Item Drops & Steals

Nope, they do not stack on one character. Most accessories just set a flag to TRUE or FALSE. So stacking won't do anything for item drops.

But here's the thing, the game does have one calculation that look like it was designed for an amplifier to steal. Whether or not it's in the game is uncertain but I see it takes the base steal % and multiplies it by 1. That number may have been meant for an accessory that boosts your steal % by 2 or 3! I tried using Ivory Book, Good Luck Bell, 2xEvil God Icons, etc...nothing would change that x1.

Hi again, I know I asking quite much but since you already done it could you post the address (in memory or disc files) of the steal table and that formula "it takes the base steal % and multiplies it by 1". Thanks .

I don't think I ever saved where that was on the game files. The table gets loaded into memory of the playstation at 0x77829.

It doesn't seem to be in an specific place of the game files at least not in PROT.DAT or DMY.DAT, I guess I will have to track how it is loaded into the memory.
But I couldn't, place a breakpoint at memory read/write and it won't stop, it just load the entire memory...

Anyway I found it. Hate this game coding, it was in "SCUS_942.54" file at 68000h, more precisely at 68029h.

Yeah psxfin doesn't work with execute or cd read breakpoints so the emulator is just flawed. Lucky though all that data is in the .54 file! I forgot there are some other table lookups in there. The best emulators I've used for debugging and breakpointing like that are pcsx2 for ps2 and dolphin for gamecube.

Nah, I am just a code butcher, all my progress is only because you did all the hard work, and hopefully you are still around . My first playthrough was 16 years ago, I was a kid, and all LoL fans should be eternally grateful for what you have done for this game.

I did know about pcsx2, a pity it doesn't emu ps1 yet, but didn't about dolphin.

Haha well, this was the game that pushed me to learn all this stuff. I could barely operate a gameshark before! It wasn't until I played it some 16 years ago and was dissatisfied that I only 83% of the treasure or so (can't remember). So I gave it another try in college after spending days of forum digging to find all the people that found items in the game. Funny enough, it was enough for me to get 100% but the last two items I did not save my game after. So I submitted to defeat and told the gamefaq forum that I only got 98.8% and that the FAQ I wrote for "treasure checklist" or something was not guaranteed to get you 100% even though I counted 170 items in the guide.

Wasn't long after that, that someone messaged me on GameFAQs saying they DID get 100% with my guide. I figured they found two items I didn't but he couldnt' think of any. He graciously took my save and went looking and immediately found the two sidequest items I did not save after getting. So haha I technically wasn't the first to get 100%! He was! Silly me.

Come to think of it.....all the work I did for this game and I was never the first on anything! >:O
I remember having to go to my flight lesson or scuba diving or something and I was rushing to quickly uncover the Spirit fish. I was already late and I found the fish tables and it showed you needed a MEDIUM lure and at one location for it to be possible. I hastily posted my findings on GameFAQs and ran off to my late appointment. Once I got home I eagerly check the forums and people are blowin' up with links and videos of them catching spirit fish. Was like less than 9 minutes after I posted. Although I was super excited, I was like....野菜....I was late again! haha
