Jette's Absolute Fortress *Spoilers*

Anyone ever wonder why Vahn, Noa and Gala had to go through all that turmoil with going into the past to obtain the Nemesis Gem in order to get into Jette's Fortress when all Cara had to do was jump through the vents? Why didn't the Ra-Seru say "hey, there are vents up there, let's just go through those!" ?

Maybe Minea had no idea they could go through the vents leading up to the top and by the time they actually reached the fortress the Ra-Seru sensed that there were passages leading into the Mist Generator and didn't say anything to the heroes so as not to seem like they put them through all that stuff for nothing.

Or maybe there were invisible mystic one-way barriers that let things come out the vents but prevented anything from entering it, but then when Cort started dying the mystic barriers were broken.

Or maybe Cara is just way more powerful than she let on and could have solo'd the Mist's henchmen but didn't due to losing faith in humanity at one point.

LOL just something I think about from time to time.

I think the gem created a invisible barrier and it was destroyed when the heroes put the Gem in; allowing the vents to be accessible.

Or maybe it could have been because the Heroes actually intended on finishing off Cort and Jette while they were in there; so they went the long way.

Or maybe the vents only blew outwards for the Mist and if you were to try to walk into them, you'd be overwhelmed with either the power of the wind pushing the Mist or a thicker than normal amount of Mist?

I think this is the general idea. It's basically a giant wind-tunnel, except you also have to fight against gravity, and are being severely weakened by concentrated and extremely thick Mist. I think that Cara was only able to go through the vents after the Mist Generator was destroyed and the flow of Mist shut down.
